“The grass is always greener”.
That’s a painful phrase that we’re told to forget about. Never compare yourself with others. Well I want to suggest to you today to do exactly the opposite. Yes, compare yourself with others. Feel that envy. Feel that self loath. Get angry. Look at that that is so green in the life of others that you would so love to have. Get into that pain of what is that that is making you green with envy. Because that’s where it looks greener because of the green envy glasses that you are wearing. Really do wear them. Feel them and answer what is exactly in that picture,
- What causes the most negative emotion in me?
- Are you envious of their business?
- Are you envious of their private life?
- Are you envious of their customers?
- Are you envious of their pricing?
- What are you envious about?
Well, I tell you that that element that you envy is exactly what you are meant to have yourself. And to be able to achieve that dream, you have to become the person who is able to have, to create that which you are envy. Once you see this way, you will be able to see the neighbors with love and with gratitude because they have put this mirror in front of you as a spiritual exercise.
Now that you know what is it that you envy, you can make a plan of action. Now you know that that greener element (that salary, that prize, that number of customers, that huge impact) is something that you want. And I tell you, it is something that you deserve, but you have to believe it. You have to believe that this is also possible for you have it, to be it because you want it. Once you believe that you want it, it’s done. Because when you believe that you want it, you can make a plan about it. Say I want this, this is what I want, this is the kind of life that I want, this is the kind of life that I deserve. When you step into that certainty, the teacher will appear and will tell you what kind of steps you can take to achieve your goal. And of course, what kind of steps you need to take to make that goal a reality. Because of course, as I always say, it is not enough to make the plan, but it is indispensable to act upon the plan.
So I tell you, the green of the neighbor’s garden is here to tell you, is here to give you an important message. What is that message? What is that that you want, that you are not allowing yourself to give yourself, that you’re not allowing yourself to even desire it? Well, accept that you desire it, accept that you deserve it, and then everything will conspire for you to be it, to do it, to have it.
