Why is it that so many passionpreneurs are not making ends meet?
How is it possible that they haven’t been able to translate passion into profit?
You see the story doesn’t start when the passionpreneur decides to become a passionpreneur, it starts before. The reason why we have so many passionpreneurs nowadays, is because we have been educated to please, to comply, to give the right answer and we are tired of doing so. You see in every single school, they give you a test and (if you want to be successful) you have to give the right answer. At work, you have to give the right answer, use the right words. So when a passionpreneur is born (when he lives the world of pleasing others and enters into the world of authenticity), he says no more, we don’t want anymore, these kind of lies, I want to embrace my truth, I want to be who I am, I’m passionate of being myself. That’s a great step. That’s a necessary step. The problem is when we stay there and we obsess with “ME”.
I was there, you know, when I quit the corporate world, the first steps I took were so not profitable because I was just completely concentrated in ME, trying to understand what is I really wanted, trying to answer what is it I really wanted. I really felt like in a big supermarket I never went to and I had all the money in the bank account to pay for it. So life was just this big supermarket I could buy anything. I was completely lost and confused. I didn’t know what was my passion. I didn’t know who I was meant to be working with. I didn’t know which systems I was supposed to use.
So if you are in that situation in which you are doing what you love to do and nobody is buying, it is time to ask yourself this question:
who is that ideal customer for me? Who is that person that I’m meant to serve? What is that pain that I can heal, that I am actually meant to heal?
Think about . And I can heal it because of my experience as a person, my experience as a professional, my knowledge–use every single part of yourself. What is the knowledge that you can give to these people? What is that both, makes you extremely passionate, excited about their situation and angry? Because the excitement and the anger, that’s where your passion is. This video actually gets to the core of the things that matter to me. I love talented people, I’m passionate about people, and at the same time, I’m tremendously angry when I see people performing below their potential, selling themselves cheap to the world, being in situations where they cannot shine, not being is to–putting themselves into those situations where they cannot shine, that really hurts me.
So when we align all the things that we have to give because of our knowledge, all the care and love that we have because of our feelings, our passion and our anger–it’s good anger, to give, we can see who that person is. You resonate with being passionpreneur, not just making money. So the difference is you need to think about the customer, the ideal customer, that person who will make you stand up in the morning to say, I love to work with these people, I love to see their transformation, to see them go from A to B to C to D and explode and become the greatest expression of themselves. What is that for you? When you think about them, then you will be able to generate, then write products for them, because you will say well they are in this situation, so they are able to hear this from me. So I create this product, I create this launch, I create this book, I create this that they will hear me so that they go from this place to this place. When they are in this place, they have different problems, then you will be able to help them to develop. And you will say well this is the limit, when they reach this moment, they could be served by somebody else. And you know this is brilliant in the sense that this is first* competition. This way, you are the birth person for these ideal customers and they are the perfect person for you. This way you really can change passion into profit.
So did you like this video? If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up, by all means share it, share it with those passionpreneurs who are not yet making the money. And please come on over to my website to share with us how you have changed your passion into profit. And of course, if you haven’t been able to change your passion into profit, tell us who will you love to serve, who is that ideal client that will make you wake up in the morning, excited to serve them. And as always, I say goodbye to you, reminding you to be all in.
Thank you. I have not yet turned my passions(writing, art and teaching self defense) into steady profits. Instea my profits have been in spurts and unreliable.
Last month I created and earned a suprising profit. I created a coloring book with affirmations and published it on my website. Instead of charging a fee I gave people the option of paying IF they are able. So far the majority of downloads have been free, but I’ve received many payments for the book ranging from small to much larger than I expected. I’m not completely sure if this is a path that will lead me to profits, but so far it has been very inspiring. I’m already working on a second coloring book.
My dear Leah!
So happy to read you!
I actually believe that what you did is a perfect stepping stone to generate future income. You are building a relationship with your tribe by giving first and giving something of value.
The other reason why it’s so profitable is because it inspires you. It will help you understand better how YOU can better serve your people, in a genuine, authentic, just Leah way.
Blessings,
B
PS. I love your creation!
Thank you for the encouragement. I really enjoyed making the coloring book and then giving it freely not knowing how others would respond.
